I am NaTasha Jewell, Founder of Sunshine Soul Lines Ma’Doula™, a Full-Spectrum Doula, Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), Medical Hypnosis Practitioner, Mental Health Coach, Community Health Worker, Respite Care Provider, and member of Evidence Based Birth®, dedicated to supporting individuals and families through life’s most transformative experiences.
My work is rooted in both lived experience and formal training. I hold a degree in psychology, studied American Sign Language (ASL), and completed Medical Specialty training during high school, where I built a strong foundation in medical terminology and patient care. My professional path has also included foster care certification, foster care social work, and years in education—from substitute teaching to serving as a lead teacher—each role strengthening my ability to support, guide, and advocate for individuals across diverse life stages.
I was professionally trained to train by Bianca of Tiny Miracles in Milwaukee, one of only two doulas in Wisconsin selected to participate in a pilot program for insurance-funded doula care. I also received my lifetime doula certification through Amy of Doulaing the Doula, further deepening my commitment to ethical, informed, and sustainable doula practice.
My journey into this work began long before my credentials. As a teenager, I supported my sister through childbirth when my mother was unable to be present. That moment shaped the path I would continue to walk—showing up, holding space, and advocating with care and intention. Over the years, I have supported families through pregnancy, birth, postpartum recovery, loss, end-of-life transitions, and respite care for caregivers, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities.
As both a mother and grandmother to biological and non-biological children, I understand family beyond definition—it is something you build, nurture, and protect. That perspective carries into every space I enter.
Through Sunshine Soul Lines Ma’Doula™, I am building a legacy rooted in education, accessibility, and whole-person care. I am the creator of a comprehensive Doula Certification Program and multiple training pathways, including childbirth education, hypnobirth, menopause support, and respite care. My work is not only to support families directly, but to train and equip others to serve their communities with integrity, confidence, and skill.
My mission is to provide compassionate, holistic care that honors the mind, body, and soul while making support accessible to all. I am committed to advocating for those who need a voice, supporting caregivers who need rest, and creating sustainable, community-based care through education, service, and leadership.
I believe in meeting people where they are, treating everyone with dignity and respect, and knowing when to stand beside someone—and when to step back so they can stand fully in their own power. My passion has always been to support and care for others, from educating, taking in other's children, and most importantly here, supporting women during one of the most vulnerable and special times in her life. I believe birth rights are human rights and incredible things happen when a birthing person is treated with the care and compassion they deserve. Everyone deserves to be educated, supported, and encouraged during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, and I am honored to be part of your journey.
