Lauren David is a mom of three, a Registered Nurse with more than 23 years of experience in maternal-child health, and an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) for 15 years. For the past three years, she has also served families as a birth doula, blending her clinical expertise with a warm, holistic approach and a genuine love for walking alongside mothers during the transformative journey of birth and motherhood.
Lauren believes every mother deserves to feel supported, informed, and respected throughout her birth experience. She is passionate about natural, physiologic birth and provides a calm, compassionate presence throughout labor. When medical interventions become necessary, she empowers families through informed decision-making while honoring their individual wishes, values, and birth goals.
Lauren welcomes mothers and families of all faiths and backgrounds, creating space for each family's unique values and traditions. Her Catholic faith is an important part of who she is and naturally influences the compassion and care she brings to her work. Having experienced pregnancy loss herself, she understands the emotions, hopes, and vulnerabilities that can accompany the journey to motherhood.
In addition to birth doula services, Lauren offers in-home lactation consultations, providing gentle, personalized support at every stage of the feeding journey. She considers it a privilege to help mothers feel confident, cared for, and supported as they navigate the many joys and challenges of welcoming and nurturing their babies.
